Angel Profiles

Suzanne is a pragmatic, artsy woman with a quick wit. Her varied skills, from communicating globally to organizing locally, keep her busy with the many hats she wears, and a laugh is never too far away when Suzanne's around!

Gratitudes:

Suzanne is grateful that she has friends, that her family doesn't lock her out (literally and figuratively), and that she's "as healthy as she is for as old as she is."

Angel Pick:

Suzanne's favorite Alexa's Angels product is the Feather Wish™ Necklace, which she wears often. The heart-shaped pendant on this necklace is formed by two angel wings, and has a hidden locket that holds tiny “angel wing” wishing feathers. “It's sweet that you can make a wish, blow on it, and watch it float away,” she says.

Touch of Heaven:

Suzanne recalls some meaningful memories associated with the 3 Word Pearl Necklaces. She came to know well the nurses in the oncologists' office during a period when her mother was frequently hospitalized with pancreatic cancer. They were touched when Suzanne gifted them with the “Expect a Miracle” Necklace, appreciating both the look of the jewelry and its message. On another occasion, Suzanne gathered with two childhood friends she hadn't seen for over 20 years. When they arranged for a Girls' Getaway, she gifted them each with the “Live, Love, Laugh” Necklace and wore one herself, which delighted all of them.

Beth is a fun-loving, savvy woman with a flair for fashion. When she’s not traveling and meeting with people to plan how to make the world a better place, we find her at her desk with the canine Athena keeping good company.

Angel Pick:

Beth’s favorite Alexa’s Angel product is the Posi+ivi+y® Bracelet. It is gratifying to know that this product is adding value to others’ lives and helping them make a positive difference in the world too!

Touch of Heaven:

A recent memory that brings a smile to Beth’s face is the birthday party celebrated for Kelli, her colleague and good friend. Everyone was laughing as we watched Kelli single-handedly bust open the tissue-covered butterfly filled with her favorite treats. This moment captured for Beth the fun and energy of the Alexa’s Angels team: “We’re like a family,” she says, “I truly like all the people I work with, and how much we genuinely care for each other.”

Darcie is a vibrant, energetic woman with a can-do attitude. When she’s not out and about sharing inspiring stories with new customers and sales reps, she’s busy creating fresh and beautiful trends to add to the Alexa's Angels collection.

Darcie is grateful for love, laughter, and Beth’s seven layer bars!

Angel Pick:

Darcie’s favorite Alexa's Angels products are the bracelets from the Zoey Collection, because they’re named after her daughter. These bracelets are bright, fun and colorful just like Zoey!

Touch of Heaven:

Darcie recalls a life-changing experience of April, 2010, when she and several others from Alexa's Angels attended a local fundraising event. Alexa’s Angels donates regularly to Realities for Children, a local non-profit organization dedicated to serving the unmet needs of abused and neglected children in Larimer County, Colorado. At the Realities for Children annual celebration, Darcie met and heard stories from local young people who were benefiting from the contributions of partner companies. Seeing children who face extremely tough realities in daily living made Darcie grateful for the things most people take for granted, and grateful to be able to give back to her community, too. 

Linda never misses a chance to take a personal interest in each person, and to share her up-beat, positive approach to life.  Overseeing the numbers of the business as well as the personnel needs, Linda does a daily balancing act!

Gratitudes:

Linda is grateful for her down pillow, orthotics in her running shoes, and every minute she can spend with her aging parents.

Angel Pick:

Linda’s favorite Alexa’s Angels product is the I.D. Bracelet – Fearless.  The meaning this bracelet carries expands for Linda with each friend she gifts it to.  Linda has given the “fearless” bracelet to several friends and it has served as an encouragement and support for them, helping them get through difficult times in their lives.

Touch of Heaven:

Of all the great memories Linda has as an Angel, she is proudest of the company’s involvement in memorializing a young, local athlete that died of cancer in 2008. David Crider, a spiritually focused athlete, attended school with Linda’s children and played sports with them.  After his death, Alexa's Angels designed a uni-sex bracelet in memory of David; engraved in it’s metal plate were the words of the 15 year old’s final journal entry: “live life ~ love life ~ love God ~ live forever.”

Alexa’s Angels donated all of the bracelets to the Crider family, who sold them as a fundraiser for Catch A Dream, an organization that grants once-in-a-lifetime hunting and fishing experiences to children with life-threatening illnesses.

Heather is tender-hearted and sweet. With a reflective nature and keen attentiveness to details, she works quickly and quietly to get orders shipped out in a timely manner.

Heather is grateful for the loving support of her family, for the beautiful sunsets of Colorado, and for a job working with great people!

Angel Pick:

Heather’s favorite Alexa’s Angel product is the long Crystal Teardrop Necklace – Love, because of its nice, long chain and its versatility.

Touch of Heaven:

One of Heather’s favorite memories is of the Positivity Food Drive, sponsored by Alexa’s Angels after a destructive tornado devastated the local community in 2008. The day was gorgeous and sunny, and Heather basked in the opportunity to see people coming out to support the good cause. Some residents affected by the disaster shared their stories, and the community bonded together with a resolve to stay positive. It made a difference in Heather’s life to be able to hand out Posi+ivi+y® Bracelets and contribute to a movement that was making a difference for others!

Beth’s refined communication skills make her an undeniably helpful resource and confidante. In addition to her kindness, those who call to place an order or share a story may detect a hint of Beth’s New Zealand origins!

Beth is grateful for her two happy, healthy boys, for opportunities to travel, and for Skype, which allows her to keep in touch with her family overseas.

Angel Pick:

Beth’s favorite Alexa’s Angel product is the Square Wallpaper Necklace - Peace, which she wears often. She loves the double chain, and how simple this piece is, easy to wear with a T-shirt. She loves wearing the message, too: “Maybe one day we’ll have peace in the world,” she says.

From the fun moments with her Angel friends at work to sharing in the joys and sorrows of customers who call and tell her stories, every day holds special memories for Beth. Among her collection of stories to share, she recalls a woman who lost her job and, while walking in the street, found a Posi+ivi+y® Bracelet on the ground. After experiencing the transformation of her own attitude by a reminder to stay positive, this woman called to order some bracelets to share!

Trish is a gracious woman with an inventive spirit. Her efficiency ensures that Alexa’s Angels operations run smoothly, and her pleasant personality makes everyone feel welcome on the phone or at the door.

Angel Pick:

Trish’s favorite Alexa’s Angels product is the Posi+ivi+y® Bracelet. She loves the message “attitude is a choice” and wishes that more people would choose good attitudes!

When Trish’s daughters finished middle school and were off to high school, she gave them a necklace to celebrate. She wanted to acknowledge that they were becoming more independent but also remind them that she would always be near if they needed her. She gave them the Angel Token Necklace with the words “someone to watch over me”. 

Rya is a practical, insightful woman with maturity beyond her years. As Rya focuses on the tasks of keeping inventory and preparing orders, her youthful wit gives frequent cause for shared laughter.

Gratitudes:

Rya is grateful for sunsets, her good health, and the person she has become.

Angel Pick:

Rya’s favorite Alexa’s Angels product is the Believe for a Cure Power Bracelet. Because her grandmother passed away from cancer, this bracelet has particular meaning, as Rya hopes for a cure to cancer in the memory of her Grandma.

Touch of Heaven:

One of Rya’s favorite memories from working at Alexa’s Angels is of a customer calling to request a piece of jewelry that was lost. The item was a gift from someone who had since passed away, and Rya was touched by the meaningfulness that such a small item could hold, and the preciousness of a memory associated with it.

Rose is a serene woman of great interior strength. She works diligently in the shipping area sorting and counting, stocking product and organizing shelves, teaching a Spanish phrase now and again to the other Angels.

Gratitudes:

Rose is grateful for the air she breathes every day, the health of her three children, and for her cushy car seat!

Angel Pick:

Rose’s favorite Alexa’s Angel product is the Gratitudes Bracelet™, because it reminds her of all she is grateful for. Four years ago, Roses’ daughter (then 3 months old) was hospitalized for a severe liver condition. Doctors said a transplant was required if she were to be well. Rose had never prayed in her life, but she did for the first time, and kept faith through this time of uncertainty. To everyone’s surprise, seven months later, Rose’s daughter was well – and without a transplant! Rose wears the Gratitudes Bracelet and watches her daughter, now a healthy 4 year old, and recalls with deep gratitude the blessings she receives.

Touch of Heaven:

Rose cheerily recalls the Windsor event celebrating the company’s selection as a Colorado Company to Watch in October, 2010. This was Rose’s first public event after being hired as a member of the Alexa’s Angels team. She enjoyed meeting others who attended the event, and sharing with them about her work and the company’s inspirational products.

Rick is a calm, easy-going guy who doesn’t mind being the only male among a team of women Angels! He’s typically found focused on his large computer monitor, making eye-catching designs to capture and communicate the beauty of Alexa’s Angels products.

Gratitudes:

Rick is grateful for his wife’s health and increasing energy after her heart surgery, for his daughter’s upcoming wedding and the first grandchild on the way, and for the golf season!

Angel Pick:

Rick appreciates all the “reminders” that are incorporated into Alexa's Angels products. Gratitude, positivity, wishing others well… “It warms the soul,” he says, “to be reminded of such important sentiments as these.”

Touch of Heaven:

On October 12, 2010, the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade awarded Beth Lang for her company’s selection as a Colorado Company to Watch. To celebrate the award, Beth Lang planned a public event that reached out to the community. Alexa’s Angels partnered with the House of Windsor, a local coffee and gift shop, and used the occasion to commemorate National Positivity Week and raise funds for the Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. For Rick, this “transfer of benefit” to others stood out as the company’s core value and purpose. “To use this recognition as an opportunity to collaborate with another local business, to raise money for a charity, and to give back to the community: that’s what Alexa's Angels is all about,” he says.

Donna is a recent transplant to Colorado from the snowy north, and has a knack for noticing others’ gifts. As a member of the marketing team, she is eager to share with others the blend of fun and creativity she finds at Alexa’s Angels.

Gratitudes:

Donna is grateful for bike trails, mountain views, and funny people.

Angel Pick:

Donna enjoys wearing her Alexa's Angels Initial Necklace. She likes the combination of metal tones on this piece and its classy shine; even more importantly, the words on the back of the pendant inspire her: “Life isn’t about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself.”

Touch of Heaven:

Being a fairly new addition to the Angel Team, one of Donna ‘s favorite memories is of her first impressions of the company. During her first visit to the office, she noticed the notes from customers and friends of Alexa's Angels that were displayed in collages in the kitchenette. “The words of appreciation convey such genuine and heartfelt sentiments, and say a lot to me about the caring and meaningful work of Alexa's Angels. This, coupled with the easy kindness expressed among the team, made me want to be a part of it all,” she recalls.
